Under The Big Top / Merry Go Round

The 'Sousaphonics' music is so vibrant and alive ... the children LOVE their amazing sounds. We are having a wonderful time at the moment, as we prepare for our concert. "Under The Big Top / Merry Go Round" have allowed the children to be particularly creative, composing and performing their own 'circus' acts and movements to perform with the 'Sousaphonics' resources.

A few simple items ... hoop, streamers, balls, skipping ropes, coloured cards, scarves and hand-made juggling balls (balloons & rice!) have been the props! I am amazed at how inventive the Primary aged children have been.

We cannot wait for our 'Sousaphonics' concert!

Hi Jeanette,
Great to hear this idea for the classroom. Could lead to a fabulous circus performance!
Cheers,

I have created a "KAHOOT" called 'Sousaphonics' for my students. They have had a wonderful time challenging each other, striving to answer all the questions correctly and to be the fastest! You can access this game via the website - kahoot.it and search for 'Sousaphonics.' This is a wonderful way to incorporate technology and information about the ensemble's visit, into one activity! Have fun!
